About the Pointe-Claire Citizens’ Association (PCCA)
About the Pointe-Claire Citizens’ Association (PCCA) The PCCA was formed in 2022 to foster and promote citizenship among residents of Pointe-Claire. Our aim is to strengthen the cultural, recreational, and social benefits we all enjoy as residents of this great city. We will work to achieve this by:
1. Building on our strong and shared sense of community;
2. Enhancing public understanding of matters that are of common concern;
3. Coordinate, and cooperate as necessary, with City Council and other organizations, with common goals, in promoting the general good of the community;
4. Propose ideas to City Council, as required, in support of specific projects and goals of the Association;
5. Providing, where possible, City Council and the public with community-sourced information, data and statistics to help raise awareness and expertise that will usefully contribute to informed decision-making;
Helping empower citizens to be able to best represent themselves before municipal decision-making bodies. In doing so, the PCCA aspires to enhance Pointe-Claire’s leadership as a responsible member of the broader Montreal Metropolitan Community, and in Quebec, Canada, and the world.
